Three venues in Goa- Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda, GMC Athletic Stadium in Bambolim and Tilak Maidan Stadium in Vasco will host the league matches.

Only one match will be played everyday except on Sundays, which will see double-headers, at 5 pm and 7:30 pm.

This season has brought a host of changes in the league. ATK has been merged with Mohun Bagan, while East Bengal has roped in Shree Cement as investors and consequently, both the Kolkata Giants will feature for the first time in the league. The tally of the total number of teams this season as a result has increased to 11, meaning each team will play more matches than the last season. Mumbai City FC will be playing this season with a strong squad built by the City Football Group, the new stakeholders of the club.

This time a total of 115 matches shall be played in the league, which is 20 more than that of the last season.

Fans will be excited to witness the Kolkata derby in ISL this season, all the joy will certainly be dampened due to the league being a closed-door affair this time around, as the Kolkata derby for the first will not feature any crowd. The first Kolkata derby shall be played on November 27 at the Tilak Maidan Stadium, which will also be the league opener for East Bengal.
